Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

At the end of the Bachelor of Social Work programme, students will be able to:

    1. Apply social work knowledge, theories, and methods in working with individuals, groups, and communities to address social issues and promote wellbeing.
    2. Assess social problems using critical and analytical skills and design context-appropriate intervention strategies based on scientific understanding and field realities.
    3. Integrate multidisciplinary perspectives from sociology, psychology, economics, law, public health, and development studies in social work practice.
    4. Communicate effectively with individuals, families, communities, institutions, and professional networks using appropriate verbal, written, and participatory methods.
    5. Demonstrate leadership and professional competence in organizing community-based programmes, awareness campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and welfare interventions.
    6. Promote social justice, human rights, equity, and inclusion while working with marginalized, vulnerable, and diverse populations.
    7. Practice social work with ethical responsibility, professional values, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to sustainability.
    8. Build networks and collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, community organizations, and other stakeholders for effective service delivery and social change.
    9. Conduct basic social research, documentation, and field-based inquiry to understand emerging social realities and support evidence-based practice.
    10. Engage in lifelong learning and professional development by adapting to emerging social challenges, policies, and innovations in the field of social work.
