Deeksharambham is an auspicious event organized by Rajagiri Viswajyothi College of Arts and Applied Sciences which marks the initiation of the academic year for the first year students. This year, the initiation ceremony of 2021-2024 batch was held on 28th September 2021 through Zoom platform. The event began with an invocation to the blessings of God in the form of reading out prayer scriptures from the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita and the Bible. Assistant Professor Shiny K, Head of the Department of English rendered the welcome address. Assistant Director, Rev. Father Dipin Karingen delivered the Presidential address briefing the students about the vision and mission of the college, the Rajagirian culture and wishing the students a productive academic life ahead. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries- Assistant Director Father Dipin Karingen, Principal Dr. Joy P Joseph, and the Heads of various departments. As a mark of expelling darkness and a symbol of new beginning, the students also kindled a candle and became a part of the event. The students were introduced to the CMI educational Vision and educational legacy, through the message provided by Provincial Father Benny Nalkkara, CMI. Principal Dr Joy P Joseph also addressed the students. The official function was concluded with the felicitation and vote of thanks by Assistant Professor Binitha P. S, Head of the Commerce Department and Assistant Professor Shibu George, Head of the Management Department respectively. As part of the induction program, orientation classes were arranged for the first year students starting from September 28th till October 1st by the eminent resource persons. Mr. Rifon Joseph, experienced as a family apostle resource person of Ernakulam and Angamaly Arch Diocese took the Orientation session on 28th September
